Aassia Haroon Haq is a serial entrepreneur with a background in brand management and marketing. She is Founder and CEO of Guidrr - a way to create share and discover on-demand travel experiences. She is a global thought leader speaking on the concept of #newtravel and the #experienceeconomy, sharing the data and insights that are leading to a world in which peer influencers take a bigger role inside the industry.

Aassia began her career as a journalist before moving into corporate communications and public relations at Quaker Oats. She spent a decade at various divisions of PepsiCo including Pepsi-Cola and Frito Lay, working in PR, marketing innovation and brand management and twice was the recipient of PepsiCo's Chairman's Award for outstanding contributions to PepsiCo, Inc. 

In her early 30's Aassia left corporate America to launch ALUMRISE, Inc. -- an angel-investor backed startup in the employment space that helped connect people outside the workforce due to choice, circumstance of life stage with employers seeking project skills.

Most recently, she served as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for MBO Partners, a privately held growth company based in Herndon, VA also operating in the independent worker space, where she helped build the company's brand and category awareness via thought leadership research, content marketing and digital brand marketing campaigns. 

These days, Aassia is also getting more involved in the Dallas startup community through her role as an ambassador for the DEC. She mentors entrepreneurs and works on community initiatives. Aassia graduated Magna Cum Laude from Dartmouth College, in Hanover, N.H., Magna Cum Laude. She was raised between Hong Kong and Karachi, Pakistan. She is married and has two children. She resides in the Dallas suburb of Plano, Texas.
